I started my career as a writer - and writing of all kinds is still my number one skill.

In the 1990s I discovered the Mac and started designing the newsletters, brochures and ads I was writing. In the late 1990s, a client asked if I knew anyone who could design a website. So I learned how to do that, too.

In the early 2000s I often had to commission photographers and many were unreliable. So I bought a decent camera and started taking my own pictures.

In 2010 I was asked to do some video filming and editing for a website. Dozens of videos later I was asked "Does this need an original soundtrack?" My hobby is music, so I was happy to oblige.

In 2013 I was asked if I could organise a trade event - including a full multi channel marketing campaign to promote it . I did this successfully for a couple of years, which led to work project managing the design and build of exhibition stands at three major trade shows.
